Tuition Payment Arrangements and Discounts

 Several payment arrangements are available for the convenience of our families.

• Families who choose to pay the entitire annual tuition fee on or before August 15 each year, receive a 5% discount off their tuition.
• We offer 10 % New Student and Sibling discounts.
• Tuition may be divided into installment payments based on either 10 or 12 installments.

  Smart-Tuition

We are affiliated with the Smart-Tuition program which among other conveniences, makes it possible for families to pay all or part of their tuition using American Express Card, Master Card or Discover Card. It is also possible to pay tuition by phone or over the internet.

 Monticello Preparatory School Tuition and Fees 

      We at Monticello Preparatory School have put a great deal of research, time and thought into determining our Tuition and Fee Schedule.  $10,000.00 is the most recent figure determined by The United States Department of Education as the actual “average annual tuition” for a private school in the United States. Given that we live in California where the cost of living index is quite high, we believe that this is an extremely reasonable figure on which to base our tuition and it is also representative of tuition rates charged at other private schools in the Santa Clarita Valley for Tuition. However, we want also  to address the current economic condition and the financial crises in which many families now find themselves. Thus, our rates are considerably less than the figure quoted above. We understand that in these tough economic times, parents who want to provide the best education possible for their children, need to carefully consider where the spend their education dollars.   

  We are convinced that Monticello Preparatory School provides a much better value for your tuition dollar than any other private school in our area for many reasons. We provide a particularly high standard of academic excellence through the highly regarded Core Knowledge Curriculum, educator specialists in each classroom, a 10:1 student/teacher ratio and the most highly respected learning materials available; in other words the best academic program that money can buy. In addition, one of our most popular programs, the late afternoon Study Hall and Tutoring program, led by state credentialed teachers is included at no extra cost. (Most schools charge thousands of dollars extra in annual fees for these services.)

 

  Moreover, we provide Professional Arts and Sports Lessons at no extra cost. Tuition covers the full 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM class schedule which includes the professional visual and performing arts lessons (water color, drawing and sketching classes, music classes, piano, drum, guitar classes, theater and acting classes, dance classes) and professional sports lessons (golf, tennis, ice skating, horse back riding, and gymnastics lessons). Monticello is well known for its plentiful field trips, also included at no extra cost. All of the above are considered part of our curriculum and there is no additional charge for these classes and activities.
